Project Description
The deck at the Metro Water Recovery Facility on York Street in Commerce City, Colorado was constructed by MWH Global using Fibergrate grating panels supported by Bison Versadjust Pedestals. The Bison Pedestal Deck System supports and provides easy access to the chemical tanks and their corresponding storage areas. Because of the chemicals involved, the owners wanted to provide extra stability in the deck as an additional precaution, so they fixed the deck supports to the concrete slab using anchors. Various heights were easily achieved by virtue of the adjustability of the Bison Pedestal Deck System.
Using Bison Deck Supports in conjunction with Fibergrate grating panels saved MWH Global costs associated with labor, material, and time. The Bison Pedestal System was just the answer! Although typically installed in commercial or residential settings, this project is a great example of how versatile Pedestal Deck Systems can be. Bison Pedestals are designed to provide builders with great flexibility so that they can be constructed in a variety of settings and scenarios.
