Green Roofs / Rooftops

Constructing vegetative roofs on commercial rooftops is growing trend in the U.S. and Canada.  Studies have proven green roofs reduce energy use, capture storm water, improve air quality, protect the roof membrane, create wildlife habitat and add much-needed green space to cities.  Bison offers green roof planning, designing and horticulture consultation to assure proper plant selection, seamless installation, and proper maintenance practices are executed.

Green Rooftop Consulting

As Bison’s Green Roof Consultant, Mark Fusco offers comprehensive green roof construction and planting expertise.  Mark is a LEED AP, accredited GRP (Green Roof Professional) and Horticulturist who offers a decade of plant and landscape design experience.  Mark served as Designer and Project Manager for The Denver Botanic Garden's green roof, which is Denver's first publicly accessible green roof.  As an accomplished Horticulturist, he researched and tested plant efficiency and viability in the rooftop environment.

Mark has consulted on more than a dozen projects in Colorado, Utah and Arizona and is a founding member of the green roof organization Growwest (www.growwest.org).  His consulting services include:
